I quite like this one; it highlights the anticipation, the waiting, the fervor some soldiers feel as they wait for their tour to end, and how every day counts towards the much-sought-after finish. The last line really hits it home how close Private McKay was to returning, and how sad and unfair it is that he was taken so close to his return to family and friends.
