It was such a relief to see the last of them come home… I ran, I nearly toppled over my loved one. Hugged him so tight, I will not let go of him. So happy he is safe and home with me again.

A big relief! It must be way harder, actually knowing someone who’s serving. For the rest of us it’s much more academic, names under faces under berets in the paper. Too bad, poor kid, family must be devastated, I wonder if So You Think You Can Dance is on tonight?
I try to remember that it is because of kids like them that I can be so complacent.
