the new normal (KAF)

you know you’re in KAF when:

• you feel under-dressed because you look around the dinner table and you’re the only one not carrying a big f*ing gun
  
  
• blast walls begin to resemble over-sized fences and you start admiring the stenciled maple leaves on them
  
  
• you watch drones/UAVs the same way you watch the birds
  
  
• you push open a carpet store’s door on the boardwalk and find 10 people sitting cross-legged on beautiful carpets sharing grapes, mint tea, pomegranates, chicken, naan, and you’re invited to join them
