War Poet.ca - A CFAP Project by Suzanne Steele

lazarus (28)

in you, this holiness, grace
the grace of body, the taste
of sweet whisky, fresh snow,
black chocolate, the curtains
surrounding your bed, our
AO, without irony or want,
without hoard, precious,
a package filled with good,
the amber, electric, the gold,
unashamed love, for each
other, our country, the ice
our Solstice, our war buried
beneath an earth of soft, brown
blankets, the softest sheets,
a ceremony.
