apparently my words inspire others’ words
I wrote the original after attending Pte. Mickey McKay’s repatriation ceremony at Trenton. Mickey’s mother is in Afghanistan as I write. she spoke to me a month ago.
mr. blue read my poem on my site then responded with his via my site. thank you mr. blue for paying me the compliment.
correction though, I’m not Canada’s war poet. but rather, a Canadian poet who currently writes about war and who was an official war artist I guess.
