War Poet.ca - A CFAP Project by Suzanne Steele

can you

find me in the purple
fault, the mountain hidey
cave, the rave, the brave
the rock, the stalk, the leaves
the trees, the ocean
breeze, the freeze of ice
and snow, the long long road,
the ring, black sting,
the ghillied-me, the used-to-
be, o sniper can you really see
from where you crawl
on broken knees, on broken grass,
on empty belly, broken glass,
O sniper do you can you see
me, really see, the stalk,
the hide, the zero’ed me?
