call out for soldier limericks

I had a publisher contact me asking if I“d be interested in having his company publish the limericks I collected in the field.

I have some really funny ones, some filthy ones…

let’s see…

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
Get down on your *****
And ****************** !!

(you fill in the blanks. let’‘s just say that I was told that one by a senior officer somewhere in the wilds of an Ex!!!)

I’d like to see this little publication happen. send me limericks you’ve written or heard in the field and I’ll do my best to get them published.

don’t be afraid that anyone will be offended. I’ve probably heard it all. the point is that we want REAL words from soldiers.

send them via this site. anonymously if you wish (though I DO need your coords to know you are legit) or signed. it’s up to you.

I’m off to the National Army archives to see if I can find any limericks from WWI and WWII
